Welcome to our Christmas Blog Hop! If you’re coming over from Ana at Fiddle Leaf Interiors, welcome!
This is the THIRD Christmas in the THIRD White House. I have a thing for 3’s!
When do you start decorating for Christmas?
I know some people like to start right at the beginning of November, while others start in December.
This year, I started the day after Thanksgiving.
I’ll take you on a brief tour of our home and what I have put up so far. Decorating Christmas is a work in progress, so this is the first round.

Let’s start with the entryway…
Garland on the banister with some battery operated twinkle lights...
That little toboggan is from Target Dollar Spot!
And a paper mache deer with a green velvet bow…(found him at JoAnn Fabrics- I was originally going to paint it, but I decided to leave him au natural- my husband thinks the antlers look like fingers #nowicantnotseeit
Into the dining room…
Garland with twinkle lights…I bought that from QVC years ago and it’s still going strong.
There’s that gorgeous PLAID wallpaper. It’s discontinued now- it had some really bad reviews, but I absolutely love it and I love looking at it each and every day! I’m hoping they come out with something similar again soon!
A sweet centerpiece that will take us into the winter…
A little vignette here…
Back into the living room…
Extra fresh garland leftover from the porch…
Now into the family room…
The pair of deer are from Pier 1 from all the way back to the First White House. The pine cone lights are mixed in with trimmings from the yard. These are from last year, but these are similar.
The sweet car pillow is from Jane last year. They always have tons of pillow covers similar to this one!
The merry sign is a large picture frame from Ikea that has bounced around the house. I used wrapping paper that I found at Old Navy then used a chalk pen to write the word “merry” on the front. The faux trees are from Big Lots!
There are never enough pillows to throw on the floor, I mean decorate the couch. I happened to take these pictures at night and I couldn’t bear to move that little dog for the pictures.
The Christmas Countdown pillow is from Home Goods and the kids already have a schedule of who is moving the Santa on which day. #areyousurprised
That’s all for now- we will add the real tree to the family room in a couple of weeks and then there is no turning back!
Please go visit all of these lovely ladies- so much more Christmas inspo!
