Happy Spring! As I’m writing this, I’m watching the snow fall- crazy March weather!
I like to decorate not just for Easter, but for Spring so I can keep the decorations up a little longer. I like to incorporate lighter colors with florals, greenery and some spring animals.
Pinterest is a great resource for finding free printables. If you do not have access to a printer, you can send them to your local Staples to be printed on cardstock.
I have this banner hanging on the window on the mantle. Diana from The Girl Creative has a great post on decorating with it. I just printed the banner, cut the bunnies with the wood background then taped them to the pom pom garland I already had hanging.
To make a garland, you can tape the papers to twine or ribbon or hole punch the papers and string them.
Don’t want to make one? Here are 3 adorable ones you can buy already made!
This “Hello Spring” sign is in the frame in the foyer courtesy of Kate from The Organized Dream.
This little bunny is in the frame in the kitchen that I like to switch out for the seasons and holidays. Thrifty Decor Chick has several other free printables linked in that post.
Here are some sources for some other cute Spring printables.
- A sweet bunny watercolor from Finding Silver Pennies.
- Kim from Made in a Day shared a collection of free Spring printables.
- House of Hawthornes has a vintage Easter banner printable for you to print.
- Finding Home Farms has this darling bunny garland. I love the chalkboard she has it hanging on!
I stumbled across this sweet craft for your kids from Leah Anne Creations- you know I love incorporating fingerprints! You could do this on a canvas or on a piece of cardstock that you then put in a frame.
We have a egg painting tradition that my friend, Michelle, introduced me to. This is now the 7th year we have been making these eggs. Head on over to Michelle’s blog to see how it is done! This is something we look forward to every year and it is so fun to look at the eggs through the years. I am so grateful that she introduced us to this tradition!
I love hanging wreaths year round in the house- I often leave the same ones up all year, but either add a ribbon or a small decoration with the change of seasons. Here are a few spring wreaths that I love.
This felt floral wreath from Target– I found a similar one in their Dollar Spot a few weeks ago.
A white cherry blossom wreath– this would be so pretty on your front door or even the door to your garage!
Tulips!!! The yellow and lavender tulips are stunning!
Here are a few other pictures from around the house…
Spring is a season of new beginnings- the house feels lighter and it is also a good time to clean out some of the things that have been stacking up over the winter. I’m planning a garage overhaul. The mess is completely out of control. I’m hoping to share some tips as to how we manage to semi-control the kid/sports/garden/tool/furniture in an upcoming post. Once the weather gets warmer, I will be cleaning out and organizing- do you have any tips for controlling the clutter in your garage?
