I’m in the middle of a few projects. It’s been cold, we’ve been sick and, well, life as a working mother is just happening…
A lot of this has been going on here too…

I thought I’d share a few things I’ve picked up and also a few ideas that I have brewing…
I picked up this bowl last weekend at a resale store. I love the colors and the subtle cracking in the porcelain.
I hung this light and used a diy trick that I learned from Brooke at Nesting With Grace. I’m waiting on the lovely mailman to deliver one more item, then I’ll share the super easy diy steps to add lighting without hard wiring! I just ordered 2 more sconces that I’ll be hanging in the family room using the same technique!
I’m using this frame to make a project for C’s wall. I’m waiting on these flowers from Hobby Lobby to come in and then I’ll show you what I’m doing with them!
These 2 pieces are in the garage…waiting for warmer weather and inspiration…
p.s. this area is never this clean- trust me!
Our house was built in 1968, so 2018 marks her 50th anniversary (this year is also my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary!). I’m looking for a “built in 1968” sign to hang. I found this one on Etsy that I love, especially since our neighborhood has history with bridle paths.
I feel like this is the calm before the storm in our house. Baseball season is right around the corner and that time of year is so busy for us. I absolutely love it, but it also means that very little gets done around the house. A good friend of ours gave us this sign last year, which pretty much sums it all up!
Stay tuned for more info on the lighting project and for that little project for C’s room.
